It's an interesting coincidence that the only two languages I've ever formally studied -- French and Czech, which I will be studying during my upcoming Fall 2008 semester -- are also the only two languages where they spell "Lucie" for "Lucy." Maybe my parents are secretly psychic.
Anyway, here's a quick rundown of where I will call home for the next eight months:
June 6 to August 10 - Hanoi, Viet Nam
August 30 to mid-December - Prague, Czech Republic
It seems that my life so far has been governed by my not-so-subconscious motivation to get as far away from the Midwest as possible. That said, this blog is essentially going to be a travel/personal journal for the duration of my time abroad (and possibly beyond).
